Helpful Keyboard Shortcuts For Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
Until recently I found it really frustrating trying to remember keyboard shortcuts for all the different computer programs I use. Then I found a really great web site where you can buy stickers for your keyboard that stick on top of certain keys and remind you of the most important shortcuts. I’ve found this helpful as it cuts down the number of mouse movements to perform an operation that now takes 1 press of a keyboard.
I liked it so much that I went and bought one for use with Adobe Premiere. I’ll be up front and say that I joined their affiliate scheme so using the links here would bring me a small commission from each click
How to Block Annoying Adverts on Facebook
Finally I’ve found a way to actually hide those annoying Ads on Facebook! This actually WORKS but you’ll need to follow the instructions. You’ll also need to use Mozilla Firefox browser – Firefox is a better choice than Internet Explorer anyway so why not make the change now. It also works on Safari too. 20 Facebook Tips/Tricks You Might Not Know
Found this rather useful blog post. Some of the tips are a bit out of date and haven’t checked them all yet but overall it is very helpful.
I think the tip on how to get Facebook on your computer’s desktop is particularly useful.

New Blog Design
I’ve just designed a new Theme for this blog. A bit more green and fresh. Hope you like it. I was using a freebie that I downloaded but since going back into business as a web and multimedia designer I decided that it was time to do my own (and showcase a few new sites while I’m at it!).
Back in Business Again
I’ve recently quit my cleaning job and gone back to self employment in Web and Multimedia Design. I’ve already been doing some as a part-time venture for a while but decided that it was time to take a risk and go full-time. My business name is A Sound Design.
The core of my business is web design. I use mostly Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, Adobe Fireworks CS4 and Adobe Flash CS4. I am able to develop eCommerce solutions and rich media sites. I also provide New Media solutions including producing interactive CD-ROMs, video editing and DVD production, DVD and CD duplication and more.
As a Christian my passion is to assist churches and ministries in reaching their goals and hope that I can be involved as a business asset. But that does not mean I am exclusive. I am running a business and am happy to put my skills to work for whoever needs me.

My First Piece of Music!!
I’ve finally managed to finish a piece of music. I have so many unfinished pieces and so I’m really pleased to have finally completed something. This is a short instrumental piece of a solo Harp. I don’t play harp myself but composed it on the computer using Garritan Personal Orchestra, recording via MIDI keyboard to Cubase Studio 4.5 and mastering in Adobe Audition 1.5. I am in the process of writing a lot of songs and instrumentals for use on a forthcoming video I am filming and editing. This is one piece I intend to use as a short bridge between video clips. Hence I have called it ‘Selah‘. Selah is a biblical Hebrew word found a lot in the Psalms. According to Wikipedia:
“Selah (Hebrew: סלה) may be the most difficult word in the Hebrew Bible to translate. Selah is probably either a liturgico-musical mark or an instruction on the reading of the text, something like “stop and listen”. The Psalms were sung accompanied by musical instruments and there are references to this in many chapters. Thirty-one of the thirty-nine psalms with the caption “To the choir-master” include “Selah” so the musical context of selah is obvious. Selah notes a break in the song and as such is similar in purpose to Amen in that it stresses the importance of the preceding passage. Alternatively, Selah may mean “forever”, as it does in some places in the liturgy (notably the second to last blessing of the Amidah). Another interpretation claims that Selah comes from the primary Hebrew root word [calah] which means “to hang”, and by implication to measure (weigh)……It is translated into today’s general language with the meaning: ‘think about it’ or ‘praise [the Lord]‘”
Please have a listen and leave your comments. I’d appreciate any constructive feedback about the actual music, recording and mixing quality etc.
